LSEG and AWS invite you to join your technical industry peers for a workshop on leveraging ultra-precise PCAP data on Thursday, June 20th at AWS’s office in New York.

In this workshop, you will learn to how to run a Transaction Cost Analysis using LSEG Tick History – PCAP data, leveraging AWS analytics services such as Amazon Athena and Amazon EMR. Transaction Cost Analysis for pre-trade and post-trade analysis helps measure and optimize transaction costs and the effectiveness of trading strategies. We will show you how to access LSEG Tick History – PCAP data, explore the OPRA dataset, query and filter the data, define custom functions, and visualize the results of the analysis while learning how to optimize the usage of AWS services for your analytical requirements.

• We expect attendees to have knowledge of relevant AWS services (level 200) and be familiar with the AWS Console.
• AWS will provision AWS accounts and the infrastructure needed to participate in the workshop.
• We will not be able to provide session recordings or extend AWS account availability post the event.
