Eikon App Studio program provides tools for development and distribution of WPF apps. The main use case of this implementation is for applications that require heavy manipulation of user-permissioned data that cannot leave client desktops. Partner data may be included in this type of application via secured web services. 

WPF apps are distributed through Refinitiv infrastructure. Permissioned users of the applications will be able to download and install applications from the App Library with the single click of a button and thereafter run the apps in a sandboxed environment within the Eikon Desktop. Once installed, users access these applications from the library, within their workspaces, and from the main Eikon menu on the toolbar like any native or web Eikon apps. Data can be accessed in the app from Eikon desktop using the end-user’s credentials.
