Overview

Platform Administration Application customers can use the APIs to automate desired aspects of administration while using the application for manual tasks such as modifying a user’s permissions or running reports.

Many of LSEG's customers are now adopting the use of the LSEG Delivery Platform to provide market data access to their users and applications. The LSEG Delivery Platform is the underlying market data infrastructure that provides data and services to hosted Workspace users as well as to customer-developed applications. By leveraging the LSEG Delivery Platform, customers can greatly reduce the in-house market data infrastructure required to support their Eikon and Workspace users. To manage these users, LSEG has produced a suite of APIs and UIs that customers can use to integrate LSEG Delivery Platform administration into their workflow.

The Platform Administration Application will also support LSEG Intelligent Entitlements- a permissioning automation capability designed to minimize fee-liable data costs and reduce administrative overhead by allowing administrators to pre-approve access to desired exchanges to which a selected user will be automatically and instantly permissioned upon their initial request for that content. Each user’s permissions are reset at the start of the reporting period and are captured at the end of the reporting period. Since only the permissions to the content users have accessed are enabled and reported, customers will no longer have to pay for unused access to exchange data.

The Platform Administration Application provide a basis for many additional capabilities that will be included in up-coming releases, such as support the ability to schedule any license entitlement changes in the future date, the ability to define sets of licenses to be assigned to groups of users, and many additional reports.

User Management: Allows for creating, updating, and deleting users. Users can be added and removed reducing the time to onboard new users or to remove user access when appropriate.

License Management: Controls which products and content a user is entitled to access. Licenses are issued in advance based on the content and services contracted for each of the customer’s locations.

Report Management - Provides a user interface to generate and download a variety of reports, including:

  • Usage – Reports presenting each user’s summarized or detailed data consumption
  • Permissions – Presents active permissions and permission history information.
  • Audit – Provides a history of all user management and license management events.
