The main use cases we look to provide for are as follows:

Use Case 1: Client Apps for Internal Distribution

The applications that fit into this category are applications that existing or new Eikon clients create for their own internal employees’ use. Applications developed for this use case will allow clients to create and deploy proprietary applications that tap into the data and services available on the Eikon platform, streamlining the workflows and efficiency of their employees.

Use Case 2: Client Apps for External Distribution

The applications that fit into this category are applications that existing or new Eikon clients create for external end users. There are two subcategories of applications that fit this description: applications that are designed to deliver content or analytics to end users, and applications that serve as single-dealer platforms that allow end users to trade.

Note: Client content made available via the app may be subject to contributions to Thomson Reuters depending on the type of content.

Use Case 3: Vendor Applications

The applications that fit into this category are applications that third party software vendors create to make available to Eikon end users for subscriptions via the Eikon 3rd Party Library. Applications developed for this use case will allow software vendors to take advantage of data, services, and distribution infrastructure available on the Eikon platform.
